However, there is one major detail You need to know…
Standard Top-up vs. Lightning Top-up
This brings me to the most important part of my GamsGo YouTube Premium experience: the difference between standard Top-up and Lightning Top-up. Having purchased multiple subscriptions via GamsGo previously, ordering YouTube Premium was straightforward: select the duration, complete payment, done. However, YouTube Premium features an optional setting You should not skip: Lightning Top-up. It costs roughly 4 Euro extra and is not pre-selected by default.
GamsGo advertises Lightning Top-up primarily as “faster processing”. While it确实 accelerates account activation to a few hours rather than 2 to 3 days, speed is not the main reason why I recommend choosing it.
GamsGo YouTube Music
YouTube offers two core subscription formats: standard YouTube Premium and YouTube Premium Lite. The Lite version excludes ad-free YouTube Music.
How does GamsGo handle this distinction?
Here is the crucial advantage that many users miss:
Only the Lightning Top-up option grants You full feature coverage, including YouTube Music Premium along with its full feature set:
- Ad-free music streaming,
- Unlimited track skips, and
- Offline music downloads.
If You choose standard Top-up instead, You will get ad-free video playback on YouTube, but You might lose access to these dedicated music features. That would be a wasted opportunity. The surcharge for Lightning Top-up is under 4 € per year, which is negligible relative to total savings. In return, You get a fully rounded Premium experience without compromises.
Practical Advice: Even if You think You don’t need music streaming features, select Lightning Top-up anyway. The minimal surcharge secures all structural advantages that make the Premium package complete.
Disadvantages of GamsGo YouTube Premium
In practice, there is really only one drawback to GamsGo YouTube Premium:
The activation process right after purchase feels uncomfortable and contradicts standard online security routines. To enable Premium features on Your existing account, GamsGo temporarily requires Your Google account password. It would certainly be better if a cleaner onboarding method was available that avoided credential sharing. This setup feels somewhat unprofessional at first glance, especially since other GamsGo services like Paramount+ do not require password submissions. The requirement stems entirely from how Google manages these specific YouTube membership activations.
I was initially uncomfortable with this step during purchase and felt relieved once activation completed so I could update my password permanently. It requires a short leap of faith. In my experience, activation went completely smoothly without security issues, though the process itself remains uncomfortable.

If You are willing to tolerate this temporary inconvenience to save over 100 Euro, I can definitely recommend the service. Having gone through the process and verified that execution is reliable, I will continue using it in the future. Fortunately, I activated auto-renewal during sign-up, so I won’t need to repeat the setup annually.
Should You Enable Auto-Renewal?
This brings us to the next important configuration point. During checkout, You can toggle auto-renewal on or off. You can cancel the service at any time later if needed. However, I recommend enabling auto-renewal for two specific reasons:
- It lowers the initial order price by approximately 1 Euro.
- Once Your account setup is running smoothly, You will likely want to keep using it after the first year. Enabling auto-renewal saves You from having to re-enter Your Google password again next year. One activation process is enough.

Why Does It Say “Yotube”?
Speaking of unorthodox elements: During the checkout process, I noticed the spelling “Yotube” instead of “YouTube” in several places. I asked the platform support about this phrasing. It turned out not to be a typo, but a deliberate measure.
